Campaign Aim

This is the main site for the campaign, "Service through Stitching". The aim of the campaign is to create a community of people with a passion for sewing, knitting, crochet and other fabric arts who wish to use their creative skills to benefit others.

This community will create soft toys and playthings for donation to orphanages here in Hyderabad, India.

If you love creating fabric or knitted items,
'Service through Stitching' is inviting you to make items to donate to children living in orphanages with limited access to cuddly, soft, comforting toys. Even with basic stitching skills, items such as these can be made, mostly with scraps of material you may have lying around:

dolls
teddies
cuddly animals
hand/finger puppets
balls
dice
alphabet letters
numbers
dressing-up clothes

If you feel you can contribute, please get in touch with me, Chloe Hill via email: chloehillbhandari@gmail.com

I'm based currently in Hyderabad, India, and aim to donate the items to local orphanages, of which there are, sadly, plenty. This is a fledgling campaign but it aims to bring some small piece of comfort and happiness to these young children's lives. If you want to print off for your community some campaign posters like those on the right-hand panel, please write to me and I'll send the soft copy for you to add your contact details.
